From humble beginnings, Family Jewels has now become a game changer in the industry with it's unique hand-made creations curated by meticulous and skilled Artisans.
The Inspiration
Before moving to this island full-time, I visited annually from New Zealand for surfing trips. In 2015, while at a Warung on Echo Beach, I noticed a waiter wearing a stunning Silver Ring with a Rainbow Moonstone. It was a unique Barong Ring, featuring intricate carvings and a prominent gemstone. The waiter, grateful yet humble, shared that the ring held deep familial significance. We exchanged stories, bridging our lives in New Zealand and his humble village upbringing, highlighting the beauty of life here and abroad.
The Message
After our meal, as we prepared to leave, the waiter returned with his hand outstretched, offering me his cherished ring. Despite my initial refusal, he insisted, showcasing the Balinese warmth and generosity I admire. Similar to Maori culture in New Zealand, this gesture exemplifies their hospitality and kindness. Eventually, I accepted the ring, a symbol of our enduring connection.
